イスラエルは「世界のユダヤ人のための祖国」を自称しています。
しかし、世界には、イスラエルという国のありようを肯定しないユダヤ人が大勢います。

イスラエルはまた、「ホロコースト犠牲者であるユダヤ人の国」と自称しています。
しかし、今、そのイスラエルが、アラブ人に対するジェノサイドを公然と叫び、それを実行するなど、比喩ではなく文字どおり、かつてのナチスドイツの似姿となっています。

「ホロコーストの犠牲者であるユダヤ人がなぜ、同じことをパレスチナ人に…？」という問いをよく耳にします。その問いに端的に答えるならば、「二度とこのようなことを繰り返してはならない」というホロコーストの教訓が、シオニズムにおいては、「二度とユダヤ人がホロコーストのような目に遭ってはいけない」と解釈されている、ということです。

シオニストにおいてホロコーストとは、世界中のいかなる者の上にもこのような悲劇が二度と起きてはならない、という普遍的教訓としてではなく、シオニズム国家を維持するためにイスラエルがパレスチナ人という他者に対して行使するあらゆる暴力を正当化するための資源として利用されている、ということです。

しかし、この地上のいかなる者の上にも、このような暴力が二度と繰り返されてはならない、ホロコーストを経験したからこそ、あるいは、ホロコーストの犠牲者の子ども、孫だからこそ、それを人間の普遍的教訓として、自らの信念として生きているユダヤ人が大勢います。

以下にご紹介するのは、今般のイスラエルによるガザ攻撃を非難する世界のユダヤ人の声明です。署名者は現在300人を超え、今なお、増え続ています。生還者38名に、生還者や犠牲者の子どもたち、孫たち、ひ孫たち、生還者や犠牲者を親族にもつ者たちが署名しています。
